On the last day our whole group was first at the gate and they chose us to "Open the Park". They let us in early and gave us these Honorary Citizen bagdes to wear!!!

What Happens in Vegas...

Dan attended a conference in Vegas and thanks to Nana, I was able to go with him. We were able to see the shows MYSTERE by Cirque du Soleil, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, (our favorite- it was MAGNIFICENT), and the BLUE MAN GROUP. Very cool. This guy was our favorite of the 3 blue men.

We ate at SERENDIPITY 3 one day. This is their famous FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE. It was ok. We really liked the restaurant BOUCHON, and the buffet at the WYNN.

I was drooling over these fancy desserts at PAYARDS, a fancy french restaurant/bakery in Caesar's Palace Casino. We ate SO much this week. I had to shop non-stop just to walk all those calories off!

Labor Day at the Beach

We spent Labor Day Weekend in Napa with the cousins and Nana & Papa. We went to the beach on Saturday which was a little overcast and chilly!

Limo Night

Our ward had an auction to raise money for the YW to go to camp and we, along with some friends bid on a "Limo Night". For the first part, we took all the kids to yogurt. Then, we dropped them all at their homes and the adults went to dinner at Centro in SACTO and then on to Rick's Dessert Diner. How fun!

It's About Time!!!!

For all of those who gave up on the Crook Family Blog, take heart! Here comes a new post! Today the AMGEN Tour of California ( The largest cycling event in America, the 2010 Amgen Tour of California is a Tour de France-style cycling road race) cycled right down the street in front of our gates. We walked the two streets down by the park, and camped out on the side blocked-off road with friends. Lots of CHP on motorcycles etc. Fun to see all the cyclists. We tried to pick out Lance Armstrong, but they were so FAST!!!! Can you find Lance??
